The window-screen

The other thing you need to live in good harmony with your birds is a window-screen. It will prevent the cockatiels from flying away when you open your window.

You need :

• 2 wood lengths (width : 1 to 2 cm and length : about 2 meters),
• 4 small metal braces (width : 1 cm),
• 4 long screws,
• a plastic or metal net
• "U" nails or wood staples.

You cut the wood lengths to the exact dimensions of the interior of your window, You fix the braces at each corner, You attach immovably the lengths thanks to a long screw at each corner (see sketch), You fix the net on the frame with the nails or the staples.

Next time you will open the window, just put the screen in the frame of the window, and your birds will not fly away!
